Web Survey Bibliography
This article reports the results of a survey of questionnaire design activities in government statistics offices around the world. Substantial activity is in progress and is likely to increase even more in the future. More than 80 percent of countries test census forms, and better than half test continuing or special forms. Much less testing is done with alternative time periods, respondents, or data collection methods. About half of all countries have a special group responsible for questionnaire design and development in addition to subject specialists.
